Day 11
At some point, photography became almost entirely digital. Files on hard drives. Images on phones. Posts that disappear in a feed.
Printing changes that.
When you make a print, you complete the photographic process. Bringing your images back into the physical world in a tangible and fulfilling way. Something you can hold, frame, gift, store, or live with. It stops being content and starts being artwork.
It’s also far less complicated or expensive than many people assume. You don’t need a high-end printer on day one. Send a single image to a good lab. Or buy a small pack of quality paper and try printing at home. That first print in your hands is a powerful moment and changes how you see your own work.
Printing brings about huge improvements to your photography and adds weight to what you do. There’s intention in choosing the paper. There’s commitment in pressing “print.” There’s pride in seeing the final piece. And real value in products you create that others will want to buy.
The moment that first photograph rolls off the printer, on beautiful archival quality paper, you will be hooked forever.
